The goal for this blog is to explore leadership by finding illustrative stories and insights from thought leaders.
The hope is that through this process not only will I learn more about leadership and be able to grow as a leader, but other people will be able to learn from this information.
Additionally, this blog will explore social media’s impact on the evolving leadership culture.
What’s with the name?
PATHFINDER – One that discovers a new course or way, especially through or into unexplored regions. [1]
element – A fundamental, essential, or irreducible constituent of a composite entity. [2]
I was looking for a name that would denote leadership without using the word “leadership.” A leader is not only a person who takes people down a path, but finds a way when it looks like there is no way to be found. Pathfinder was the best choice. There are different parts that make up a leader and I thought the use of the word “element” would draw attention to the many parts that make up a leader.
